Annie Palisi, a veteran of Republican politics and Capitol Hill strategy, brings over a decade of experience in advocacy, coalition building and government relations to Heather Podesta + Partners. Most recently Palisi served as Director of Special Projects for the Committee on Education and the Workforce, where she was selected by the Committee Chairman to manage member and coalition outreach for the Healthcare Reform and Poverty, and Opportunity & Upward Mobility taskforces. Palisi led efforts to generate support from a diverse group of Congressmen and external stakeholders for these new taskforces, both of which played integral roles in the creation of Speaker Ryan’s Better Way 2017 policy framework.
Palisi also served as Deputy Director of Member Services in the Office of the Speaker John A. Boehner. During her time there she leveraged Member priorities and relationships to advance legislative and political activities for both the Speaker and Republican Members of Congress.
Prior to joining the Speaker’s office Palisi was Chief of Staff to Rep. Diane Black (R-TN). She ran Rep. Black’s first campaign for Congress in 2010 and her successful primary campaign in 2012. Palisi served on the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004, the Republican National Committee in 2006 and in Iraq with the International Republican Institute.
Palisi received her Executive MBA from the University of Maryland, and is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she obtained a BA in Political Science.
