Jonathan Becker is a senior lawyer and government relations strategist with more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of law, policy and politics. He manages the firm’s Judiciary and Commerce practices.
Becker brings to HP+P a robust and unique experience having spent time in a top Washington law firm, a Fortune 100 company, and all three branches of the federal government, including stints in the U.S. Senate, the White House and the Department of Justice Antitrust Division.
Becker joined HP+P from the Washington office of Delta Air Lines where he provided legislative, regulatory, and legal analysis and strategy to the company.
Before his time at Delta, Becker served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) from 2010 to 2013 and as her Chief Counsel from 2007 to 2009. He advised the Senator on all aspects of her responsibilities as a Member of the Judiciary and Commerce Committees, and provided guidance on a range of policy issues, including antitrust, technology, telecom, intellectual property, media, and transportation.
Becker began his legal career practicing law at the DC law firm of WilmerHale and serving as a Law Clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
